College of Arts and Sciences · B.A.
A Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences allows students to explore topics of environmental geology, water quality, economic minerals, materials, petroleum, or natural hazards with maximum flexibility. Students who pursue this degree may seek external concentrations or decide to pursue a double or triple major.
With fewer scientific requirements than a B.S. degree, this major is designed for students interested in applying the geological sciences to careers in business, scientific writing, science librarianship, and further study in Earth Science at the graduate level.
Due to its extreme flexibility, this interdisciplinary degree is ideal for pre-law and pre-med students or students who wish to add another major in a different discipline.
