History can be defined as the study of change over time, and it covers topics surrounding political, social, economic, scientific, technological, medical, cultural, intellectual, religious, and military developments. Pursuing a degree in History gives students the opportunity to discover the origins of today’s issues, events, and ideas. It provides students an insight to different approaches to the past. As a history major you will study all aspects of the human experience.
Students will receive a broad-based, yet practical, liberal arts education through the Bachelor of Arts in History. Students who pursue this degree will have a world of opportunity awaiting them and many prepare to go onto graduate programs where they can pursue fields in law, education, history, business, journalism, and public relations. Other students upon graduation may decide to go into private or public sector careers.
