A Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science provides students with the skills and knowledge to understand the theory and practice of government and policies both in the U.S. and internationally.
This major involves learning about political institutions and processes and will develop the ability to think critically about political controversies, public policies, and societal outcomes. Students will learn about politics through first-hand experiences such as internships, study abroad, and in-depth research on honors projects.
This degree tracks a variety of students, but particularly students who enjoyed high school government and history classes, are concerned about injustice and other social issues and are curious about the functions of politics and government.
