IU · Things to do
A 1,220-acre, largely undeveloped city nature park around the 109-acre Griffy Lake, with a boathouse that rents watercraft, and fishing (adults need an Indiana fishing license). No swimming, camping, ground fires or mountain biking, and no drinking water, so bring your own. Open 5 a.m.–11 p.m. The lake was Bloomington's main drinking-water source from 1924 to 1953.
